Back Ribs

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs (about 4 lbs)
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tsp mustard powder (optional, for depth)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Set to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Prepare the Ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs (use a knife to lift it, then pull it off with a paper towel).
  3. Season the Ribs: Mix all the dry seasonings and rub generously over both sides of the ribs.
  4. Wrap in Foil: Place ribs on a baking sheet, meat side up. Wrap tightly in aluminum foil.
  5. Bake Low & Slow: Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until ribs are tender.
  6. Prepare the Glaze: Mix BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  7. Broil for Finish: Remove ribs from foil, brush with BBQ sauce, and broil at 450°F (230°C) for 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
  8. Rest & Serve: Let ribs rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
